I describe myself as a sometimes quilter.

I made my first quilt from dressmaking scraps of Liberty cotton lawn, and was immediately hooked on the process.

Without any formal tuition in quilt making, I've sewn my way through several quilts, allowing the fabrics I work with to inform the process.
A kind of colour and pattern play!

I'm delighted to release my fourth quilt pattern, the Esplanade Quilt.

This quilt was inspired by the negative and positive visual aspects of the traditional courthouse steps quilt block, and the result reminded me of a timber boardwalk, or beachside esplanade.

The solid fabrics in different shades of blue, with three patterned fabrics for interest, create a 'foreground' against the 'background' of low volume fabrics.

Easily adjusted in size by manipulating the length and width of the rows in this quilt.

The finished quilt made to the pattern will measure approx 1.91m x 1.91m, which makes a great size for a double bed, or as a scant queen size.

Totally suitable for new and experienced quilters alike.

This pattern will be delivered as a PDF document, emailed to you on payment.
This 10 page pattern can be easily printed out at home.

Pattern includes all instructions with diagrams needed to make this quilt.
