I describe myself as a sometimes quilter.

I made my first quilt from dressmaking scraps of Liberty cotton lawn, and was immediately hooked on the process.

Without any formal tuition in quilt making, I've sewn my way through several quilts, allowing the fabrics I work with to inform the process.
A kind of colour and pattern play!

With the encouragement of my very talented friend Emma of Mornington textile retailer and workshop venue, Treehouse Textiles, I'm thrilled to have drafted my very first pattern to make this colourful and informal quilt.

Inspired by the wonderful improvisational style of my friend Gina Rockenwagner, and informed by a quilt I made for my Aunt Bet, this quilt is essentially a scrap quilt, great for using a variety of different fabric patterns and colours. The more the merrier!

The finished quilt made to the pattern will measure approx 49 inches x 63 inches (1.25m x 1.6m), although it is very easily adjusted to become smaller or larger.
Instructions for how to make the quilt smaller or larger are included in the pattern.

Totally suitable for beginner quilters!

This pattern will be delivered as a PDF document, emailed to you on payment.
This 5 page pattern can be easily printed out at home.
