My garden has a last flourish of blooms in early autumn, giving me dahlias and roses in abundance.
I am always grateful to cut a vaseful for the house.
I decided to try and capture these treasured blooms in a series of small oil paintings, this is the second, a vase of Troilus and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch roses.
Oil on 240gsm oil paper, laid onto cradled timber panel and varnished.
