I have a collection of souvenir teaspoons, found in opportunity shops on our travels.
I've always been drawn to their miniature artworks and the often elaborate silver plate designs of the spoons themselves.
Were they presents for friends and loved ones, souvenirs for the people who'd travelled to the places depicted, proudly displayed, used, or put in a drawer and forgotten?
I loved painting these, spending time with them, and pondering their stories.
